What we need when applying
Essential skills and experience
Six months experience in a care setting: learning disabilities, mental health, dementia.
Communication skills to provide support and motivation
Ability to support individuals with domiciliary needs and life skills
Capability to work independently and as a team
Desire for personal development and achieving goals.
Flexible working hours over 7 days.
Desirable skills and experience
Full UK driving licence
NVQ level 2 in health and social care – or equivalent.
Awareness of health and safety legislation.
Training in relevant areas; medication admin, peg feeds, manual handling.
Awareness of associated needs, mental health, epilepsy, diabetes and personal care.
